International Travel Incentives, Inc.
International Travel Incentives (ITI) is a Los Angeles, CA based incentive house which produces large-scale travel programs, festivals and events throughout the world. For the first time, ITI received a request by a long-time client to produce their sales team’s Annual Incentive Tour in Japan.
ITI initially contacted two large Japanese travel agencies to put together a 12-day itinerary comprised of guided tours, hosted cultural events, receptions, resort activities, meals, hotels and transportation for 70 participants, guides and staff. Destinations included Tokyo and Kyoto, plus a two-night stay in rural surroundings.
Results from these agencies were disappointing. Language barriers and missed deadlines put ITI’s timeline in jeopardy. They waited for weeks to receive promised price quotes, and none of the itinerary proposals resembled the exciting, dynamic programs that ITI’s clients were accustomed to. With only weeks until their client’s scheduled departure, ITI contacted GHA to perform a ‘rescue operation’ on their Japan program.
Two days later, ITI received GHA’s complete itinerary proposal detailing hotels, restaurants, tours, logistics, special events and receptions - with pricing. GHA also arranged and executed a site visitation for ITI and their client just two weeks before the departure date. One week later, all necessary details were finalized and ITI was ready to host their client in Japan.
ITI staff took care of client’s needs while GHA’s expert international team worked behind the scenes, facilitating each component from start to finish and handling special requests as needed. One month after arriving home, the entire sales team and ITI staff hosted a reunion party, insisting that GHA team members attend, as well.
Participants raved about the trip, some saying that the Japan trip was the best their group had ever done. Later, the client’s General Manager declared that it indeed was the best they’d ever done, calling it a ‘lifetime experience!’ More Testimonials
